Another amazing day with my fiancé here in Schenectady. Spent the morning working on some design type things for wedding invites… The more I work in Photoshop, the more I want to really learn graphics design and illustrator. Maybe I will have some time to really get into some classes and learn how to be better at it sometime after I get off the road. Anyways, I finally busted out my new Elinchrom Quadra flash system today. Used one mounted inside my 30″ gridded softbox to make these photos of my lovely fiancé as she sat in the chair in the hotel reading on the iPad. Definitely a staged version of one of the moments I will miss most when she leaves tomorrow. There’s just something about being able to look over and see someone you love sitting on the chair across the room… Unfortunately, she is headed back home for the week before meeting up with me again on Friday for another 8 days together. Its moments like this that make me look forward to finally getting off the road. More as we pack it up after one show here in Schenectady tomorrow.
