In 2012, I am undertaking a project that I have been wanting to tackle for the last few years. Project365 is definitely not a new idea to the photography community, but is one that has interested me for some time, and should prove to be a fun and exciting way to document one year of my life. It’s a pretty simple idea really… I take 1 photo every day for 365 days and post it online, and have setup this blog specifically for my project. My goal in this project is not to just publish a photo every day, but to make this image something meaningful. This photo could be something personally, or culturally significant; an interesting friend, or an intriguing stranger. My hope is to create an image with a story to share as a part of the project as well. This is not going to be an easy task, and I am sure that at some point I will either miss a day (which I promise to make up) or I will post an image that I am not necessarially a fan of, for the sake of posting something. In either case, I will apologize in advance. I also intend to make sure that the photos I create throughout this year are more than just quick snapshots; that they are images with a much higher production quality and will not only add to this project but also help to build a more professional portfolio. Hopefully, after looking back at an entire years worth of images there will not only be a distinct growth in the quality and subject of the images created but also a significant maturity in the style and technical execution of my photography.
